STEWART GETS FIRST TOP FUEL WIN

Motorsports great Tony Stewart, already a winner in NHRA’s Top Alcohol Dragster class, scored his first NHRA Top Fuel win at the 4-Wide Nationals in Las Vegas in April.

FORCE BLASTS RECORD BOOKS

Brittany Force made the first 340-mph Top Fuel run and then exceeded 340 mph 11 more times that season, capped by an all-time fastest run of 343.51 mph in Indianapolis .

REED SCORES EMOTIONAL VICTORY

Two months after a high-speed crash in Seattle that mangled his left hand, Top Fuel racer Shawn Reed returned to action and scored his first career win in Reading.

PROCK DOUBLES, THEN EXIT JFR

Austin Prock won his second straight Funny Car championship, again in dominating fashion, then he and the tuning tandem of his father and brother surprisingly left the John Fofrce Racing team.

Spencer Hyde

Driving for veteran team owner jim Head, Hyde won the Mission #2Fast2Tasty NHRA Challenge in Las Vegas in the spring as well and collected the No. 1 qualifier position in Reading. Hyde appeared in two final rounds this season in Epping and in Sonoma, closing out an impressive season in Funny Car with a ninth-place championship finish.
