SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

ALL-STAR CALLOUTS DEBUT

The NHRA All-Star Callouts debuted in Gainesville, where the top four of eight Top Fuel drivers chose their first-round opponent. Antron Brown emerged as the winner. Funny Car followed in Indy, won by Ron Capps.

FROM DRIVER TO OWNER

Multi-discipline Hall of Fame racer Tony Stewart launched a two-car nitro team with Matt Hagan and Leah Pruett in Top Fuel, while Antron Brown and Ron Capps both made the giant step into team ownership and enjoyed tremendous success.

TELEVISION VIEWERSHIP SOARS

NHRA enjoyed its biggest viewership number ever, as an average of 1,678,000 viewers tuned in to the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals, besting the number from 2021. The audience also peaked at a whopping 2.8 million viewers.

RECORD BOOKS TOOK A BEATING

The national records in both Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle fell in Gainesville. Brittany Force set 16 track records in Top Fuel and made the fastest run (338.94 mph) in Top Fuel history.

Camrie Caruso

Caruso enjoyed a standout rookie season in the highly competitive Pro Stock ranks, qualifying at all 19 races and advancing to the Countdown to the Championship playoffs. She earned her first No. 1 qualifier in Houston and also advanced to the final round at the event, where she joined Erica Enders as part of the first all-female final round in Pro Stock history.
