CAPPS ON A ROLL

Defending Funny Car world champ Ron Capps raced to four consecutive victories in Houston, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Topeka, Kan., the first such streak since 2012.

YOUNGEST PRO WINNER

Tanner Gray became the youngest Pro Stock winner with his first victory in Las Vegas at 17 years, 11 months old.

BROKEN BARRIER

Robert Hight became the first Funny Car racer in the 3.7-second range with his pass of 3.793 in Brainerd, Minn. The pass remained the quickest ever through the 2025 season.

LAMB WINS TWO

For the second straight season, a Sportsman racer won two world championships as veteran Justin Lamb won the world championship in both Super Stock and Stock.

Tanner Gray

The grandson of longtime NHRA racer Johnny Gray had a breakout first season, scoring five wins and two runner-ups while qualifying No. 1 four times. Gray finished fourth in the standings and compiled a 46-19 win-loss record.
