SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

GOOD PR

NHRA met with governmental agencies, worked with regional advocates, and counseled car clubs on ways to ensure goodwill within their communities.

POMONA BLOSSOMS

Working with Pomona (Calif.) Police Chief Ralph Parker, the Pomona Choppers car club was able to get the city of Pomona to pave an asphalt strip on its fairgrounds.

Near year’s end, the NHRA began the first step toward the foundation of a set of universal rules and guidelines for dragstrips nationwide.
